2021 MHAF Fredericksburg Area Art Benefit

Online ticket sales ended at 10 AM, Thursday June 3. Tickets will be available at the drawing at LibertyTown on Friday June 4 from 6:30 to 7:30 PM. Face coverings are required. Original unique print by Pete Morelewicz 30" x 40" A graphic and colorful framed canvas that captures the spirit of Fredericksburg's industry. The work is created from pencil sketches of the Purina tower, the old gas plant, and the Janney-Marshall coffee roastery. The sketches were refined and combined into the final composition, then redrawn, adding color and detail. The final art is printed on canvas using archival inks to give it its sharp, vivid character. Drawing will be held Friday, June 4 at 7:30 PM at LibertyTown Arts Center. You need not be present to win.

From the artist: "I decided to create a bit of a collapsed-time view of the railroad area of town. There's a mix of time periods in here from about the 1930s through today. It's a celebration at once of our industrial heritage and our adaptive reuse. Little history, little present-day, lotta love."
